Coffee machine cleaning powder „lujoCLEAN“, 1000 g
„lujoCLEAN“ — active-oxygen coffee machine cleaning powder
For espresso machine group heads, baskets and portafilters, as well as batch brewers, beverage vending machines and coffee flasks. 1 kg tub.
„lujoCLEAN“ cleaning powder is made in Germany and keeps coffee machines and coffee containers free from coffee fats and oils. It was developed for portafilter espresso machines and batch brewers, and it also cleans coffee flasks and beverage vending machines. It dissolves quickly, spreads well in the brew group, is non-corrosive and has been tested on a wide range of common coffee and espresso machines.
It is an active-oxygen cleaner: the main active ingredient is sodium percarbonate (25–40 %). The powder is registered in the NSF Nonfood Compounds programme under category A1, and the tub carries the NSF mark.
Where to use it
- Portafilter espresso machines — backflushing the group with a blind filter, and soaking baskets and portafilters in a hot solution.
- Batch brewers.
- Beverage vending machines.
- Coffee flasks.
How to use
Always follow the coffee machine manufacturer's instructions.
Espresso machine group head:
- Put half a teaspoon (3 g) of powder into the portafilter fitted with a blind filter and lock it into the group.
- Run five backflush cycles: 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off.
- Clean the group head with a brush.
- Rinse the blind filter and repeat the five backflush cycles with clean water.
- Fit the normal basket in the portafilter and pull a few test shots to flush out any cleaner. Pour the first shot away.
Baskets and portafilters: dissolve two teaspoons of powder in 500 ml of hot water and soak the baskets and portafilters for 10 minutes. Then rinse them thoroughly under hot running water.
Clean batch brewers, vending machines and flasks as their manufacturers instruct.
Safe use
Danger: causes serious eye damage (H318). Wear eye or face protection. If in eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes; remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do, and continue rinsing. Immediately call a poison centre or a doctor and have the container or label at hand. Keep out of the reach of children. Reseal the tub tightly after opening and store it upright in a dry, cool, well-ventilated place at 15–25 °C; do not decant the powder into other containers. Keep away from strong acids.
