„Inoxtrend“ Detabinox — detergent tablets for automatic oven cleaning
Detabinox is the detergent „Inoxtrend“ supplies for its combi ovens with tablet-based automatic cleaning. The wash programme dissolves the tablet in water, and the fan spreads the solution throughout the chamber, including spots you cannot reach by hand. The alkaline detergent removes grease and burnt-on sauce residue.
Each tub holds 100 tablets (net weight 4.4 kg). Close the lid tightly after every use.
„Inoxtrend“ offers these tablets for its Level-Up and ProEvo ovens. In the manual for its earlier XT ovens, the manufacturer states that the wash cycle was developed and tested specifically with Detabinox, which is compatible with the chamber’s AISI 304 stainless steel.
Compatible ovens
The tablets are only for „Inoxtrend“ ovens that clean the chamber with tablets:
- Level-Up — for example the LU DT 111E;
- ProEvo Plus PPDT and ProEvo PEDT (touch-screen models) — for example the PPDT 107E and PPDT 111E;
- earlier XT ovens with the „XT Simcleaner“ (XT Simple and XT Snack) or „XT Multicleaner“ (XT Compact, XT Advance and XT Top) automatic cleaning system.
Not suitable for the ProEvo Plus PPDA and ProEvo PEDA with manual controls, which have no automatic cleaning, or for „Inoxtrend“ CompaTech and Flexo ovens, which clean with liquid detergent. „Inoxtrend“ does not specify these tablets for other makes of oven — use the detergent named in your oven’s manual.
How many tablets you need
The Level-Up and ProEvo manuals give the number of tablets for each wash programme:
| Wash programme | short wash | medium wash | long wash |
| Tablets per wash | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| Washes per tub* | 100 | 50 | 33 |
Choose the short wash if you clean the oven every day or soiling is light, the medium wash if you clean less often and soiling is moderate, and the long wash if you clean only occasionally. With heavy soiling, you may need to run the cycle more than once.
* Our calculation. With a short wash every working day (five days a week), one tub lasts about 20 weeks.
For earlier programmable XT ovens (7, 11 and 20 levels), the manual specifies 1 tablet for models 107 and 111 and 2 tablets for models 207, 211, 120 and 220, for both the short and the long wash. For XT Simple and XT Snack ovens, the number of tablets is given in the oven’s own manual.
How to use
- Put the required number of tablets in the tablet holder. On Level-Up and ProEvo ovens, this is the round holder below the control panel, loaded from the outside; on earlier XT ovens, follow the oven’s manual.
- In the wash menu, choose a short, medium or long wash and start it straight away or set a delayed start, for example overnight.
- If the chamber is still too hot, the oven cools it down first and only then starts washing.
- A wash cannot be stopped once it has started. If it is cut short by switching off the power, harmful detergent residue may be left in the chamber, so when the oven is switched back on it first runs a compulsory rinse.
For Level-Up and ProEvo ovens, the manufacturer recommends Brillinox rinse-aid tablets only if your water is harder than 10 °fH (100 ppm): put one tablet in the same holder and run the rinse programme after the wash. Ask us about Brillinox tablets (pack of 80).
The XT manual adds: after washing and before you start cooking, check that no detergent is left in the tablet holder or the recess it sits in; if there is any, rinse it off carefully with a jet of water.
Safe use
Danger: causes severe skin burns and eye damage (H314) and may cause respiratory irritation (H335). Wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling the tablets, and do not breathe the dust. If the product gets into the eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes and get medical help immediately; on skin, remove contaminated clothing at once and rinse the skin with water; if swallowed, rinse the mouth and do not induce vomiting. For professional use only, and only for automatic oven cleaning.
Store the tub tightly closed in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, out of direct sunlight and away from food, drink and acids: the detergent reacts with acids, giving off heat. Dissolved in water, it reacts with aluminium, zinc, tin, copper and their alloys, releasing hydrogen.
Never clean stainless steel parts of the oven with anything containing chlorine (bleach, hydrochloric acid), even diluted — „Inoxtrend“ manuals forbid it.
