Integrated Drain Pump

Brema Drain Pump is Brema's DP solution for ice makers that cannot be conveniently connected to a floor drain below the machine. The integrated pump moves drain water to a more practical discharge point and gives more freedom when planning a bar, kitchen or buffet area.

Brema presents it as its proprietary DP System technology and design: the pump is installed inside the machine, the standard water and drain connection points remain unchanged, and the ice maker's footprint does not increase.

Brema integrated drain pump inside an ice maker

Main advantages

①

INSTALLATION LOCATION FREEDOM

The machine can be repositioned within the same bar or kitchen even after commissioning when workflow requirements change. The integrated pump drains water within the technical limits without tying the machine to a lower floor drain.

②

HYGIENIC DRAINAGE

Less stagnant water in the drain pipe and lower risk of ice contamination in the storage bin.

③

REDUCED INSTALLATION TIME

The DP solution can be connected to floor, wall, pipe or siphon drains, making connection work easier for the installation technician.

④

PLUG & PLAY CONNECTION

When the drain point position or height complicates installation, Brema DP System works as a simple and effective Plug & Play solution.

⑤

POWER BLACKOUTS

The DP system collects meltwater and automatically disposes of it when power is restored, regardless of the machine ON/OFF switch position.

⑥

FEWER SCALE ISSUES

Instead of a float switch, Brema uses an air-pressure sensor separated from the hydraulic system, reducing mineral buildup and sensor-jamming risks.

What makes Brema DP System different?

In its official description, Brema presents the DP System as a reliable pressurized drainage solution for ice makers. Water level is controlled without a float switch, and the sensor is not directly exposed to mineral buildup in the drain water. This matters in professional kitchens and bars where equipment runs every day and unplanned downtime disrupts work.

When should you choose the DP version?

The DP version is worth choosing when the ice maker must stand under a counter, on an island, against a wall or in another position where traditional gravity drainage restricts installation. Brema also notes that such a machine is easier to reposition within the same bar or kitchen even after commissioning if the workflow layout changes.

R290 refrigerant and four cube sizes

CB 955 HC 1.0 uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant and is designed for tropical class operation up to +43 °C. The unit can be ordered with air or water condensation, so it can be adapted to the installation site.

The model can produce four cube sizes: A - 18 g (standard), C - 33 g, D - 13 g and E - 42 g. The cube size is selected when ordering and set at the factory; it cannot be changed later during normal use.

Drain Pump option

The DP version uses Brema's proprietary DP System: the pump is integrated into the cabinet, requires no additional footprint and helps install the machine even when a convenient gravity drain point is not available below it. Drain water can be lifted up to 1.5 m, actively pumped up to 4 m and discharged up to 15 m with an inclined pipe. There is no float switch; a level / air-pressure sensor reduces scale-related jamming and stagnant-water risks.
