This machine peels up to 500 kg of potatoes an hour, taking 120–150 seconds for an 18 kg load. It is built for larger restaurants, canteens and caterers.
The machine stands on black legs and is 890 mm high. This version has no waste filter drawer: water and peelings go straight out through the drain outlet.
The body is made of AISI 304 stainless steel. A fan-cooled, Italian-made 0.9 kW asynchronous motor drives the disc through a belt.
The potatoes are peeled by the spinning abrasive disc and by the drum walls, which are lined with an abrasive belt. The disc turns at 320 rpm, while water fed through a solenoid valve rinses the peelings away.
The abrasive belt can be replaced without tools, and the abrasive parts are designed to make the machine easy to use, clean and maintain. Look for replacement abrasive discs and abrasive belts in the ‘Potato peeler spare parts’ category.
The control panel has a multifunction digital timer: set the peeling time with the + and − buttons and read it on the display. The electrics are housed in a separate insulated plastic box.
The lid is unbreakable clear plastic, so you can watch the peeling without opening the machine. Safety microswitches stop the machine when the lid or the discharge door is opened. Peeled potatoes are unloaded through the front discharge door and chute using the manual discharge button.
Connect the water supply with a 3/4″ flexible hose; the water temperature should be 5–20 °C. Waste water can go to a wall drain (Ø 50 mm side outlet) or a floor drain (Ø 50 mm bottom outlet). The machine is built for a three-phase 400 V or a single-phase 230 V supply — select yours under ‘Electrical voltage’.
The machine comes with an abrasive disc, an abrasive belt and a clear plastic lid. A stainless steel lid is available at extra cost — tick it under ‘Options’.
