Snack-sized waffles on a stick

Small waffles in the traditional rectangular shape — the right portion for children, or a quick snack when hunger strikes.

The set combines the versatile „Neumärker“ Thermocook® appliance with waffle-on-a-stick plates. Each bake produces six waffles measuring 65 × 100 × 30 mm.

The Thermocook® takes interchangeable plates, and more than 25 types are currently available — so the same appliance can later make waffles in other shapes, crêpes, pancakes, doughnuts, churros, sandwiches, panini or pizza.

Timer with an audible signal

The digital timer with a large display can be set for up to 9 min 59 s. When the time is up, a signal sounds, so waffles don’t burn while staff are busy with other tasks, and quality stays consistent whoever is on shift.

A thermostat controls the temperature up to 300 °C. The indicator light stays on while the appliance heats up and goes out when it is ready to bake.

Even heating and a sturdy build

The plates are held by eight knurled thumb screws, so no tools are needed, and the evenly tightened screws press the plates directly against the heating elements. The high-performance elements have an enlarged surface, so heat spreads evenly with no hot spots.

Double heat shielding cuts heat loss and reduces the risk of burns. A 42 mm gap between the hot plates and the housing stops heat building up inside the appliance and extends its service life, while ventilation slots keep the air circulating.

The stainless steel housing stands on reinforced supports and height-adjustable feet. The front panel with the display is made of durable, easy-to-clean Autotex polyester, and the appliance is designed to be simple to maintain and repair.

Cast-iron plates: seasoning and care

The plates are made of solid cast iron without a coating, so they have to be seasoned before first use: run the appliance open at 200 °C for 2 hours and spray the plates generously with release agent every 15 minutes, 6–8 times in all — „Neumärker“ recommends its Trennback 100 or Trennfix. The patina that builds up acts as a natural non-stick surface. Discard the first batch of waffles; it soaks up the last traces of grease.

Most waffles bake at 180–200 °C. Clean the plates daily while they are still warm, using a steel brush or a wooden tool, and leave the appliance open when you are not baking: if it is closed, residue on the hot plates turns to soot and the waffles start to stick. Only change the plates once they have cooled down completely.

These plates are not suitable for the Thermocook® Twin.
