„Metallurgica Motta“ 08250 — wide knock box with a rubber collar

Knock the spent puck into a wide 165 mm box while a rubber collar and a rubber-coated bar protect your portafilter. Made in Italy.

The 08250 is a low, wide knock box in polished 18/10 (AISI 304) stainless steel, 165 mm in diameter and 110 mm high. Tap the portafilter on the bar and the puck drops into the box, so you're ready to pull the next shot.

What makes it practical

Your portafilter is cushioned wherever it touches the rim: a rubber collar runs all the way round.

Each knock is muffled: the bar is rubber-coated.

The box comes apart for thorough cleaning: the bar is held by two knobs — unscrew them and lift it out.

The box stays put while you knock, and a rubber pad underneath protects the counter.

Which knock box to choose

The 08250 holds more, so you empty it less often — handy when you make a lot of coffee. If counter space is tight, choose the compact „Metallurgica Motta“ 07750 (Ø 105 mm).
