Brushless blender, 30 recipes
The „Santos“ #62 Expert is a programmable blender with a brushless motor and a sound enclosure. You make a drink at the touch of a key: its memory holds 30 recipes, from cocktails, smoothies and milkshakes to granitas and iced coffee.
What it is for
The #62 is built for intensive use at the bar: the jug takes up to 1.4 L, a recipe runs for 12 to 34 seconds, and the blades crush every kind of ice cube. Three menus come loaded at the factory — Universal, Coffee shop and Juice bar — so the blender is ready for your drinks from day one.
The duty cycle is 1 minute on and 1 minute off (EN 60335-2-64) — about the time it takes to make a drink and serve it.
Recipes at the touch of a key
The drink turns out the same every time, whoever makes it: press a recipe key and the blender runs its preset sequence of speeds and times, then stops when the cycle ends. While it runs, you are free to prepare the next order.
The glass touch panel has an LCD screen and six illuminated keys: 1 to 5, and P for pulse. The recipes cover smoothies with frozen or fresh fruit and ice, milkshakes and ice-cream drinks, iced coffee and frappé, frozen yoghurt, granitas, cocktails with ice cubes, frozen drinks with ice cubes and juice, thick shakes, medium-thick blends, light fruit juices and six pulse modes at different speeds; many of the recipes come in versions for a small, medium or large batch.
You build the fourth, Custom, menu around your own drinks list: assign any of the 30 recipes to any of the six keys and reassign them as often as you like. Create your own recipes on a computer with free „Santos“ software and transfer them on a USB stick — the blender stores six of them. The USB port is also used for firmware updates.
Blades, jug and quiet running
In a few seconds you crush and blend all kinds of ingredients, hard ice cubes and frozen fruit included: the blades turn in both directions — the patented „Santos“ Dual Crushing Action system. Their titanium nitride (TiN) coating makes them highly durable and suited to intensive use.
The motor lasts a long time, uses energy efficiently and runs quietly: it is brushless, with a permanent-magnet rotor, and delivers a maximum torque of 8 N·m.
The clear, bisphenol A-free jug has a handle and volume markings in millilitres and ounces, suits both right- and left-handed users, and several jugs stack inside one another. Materials in contact with food comply with Regulations (EC) No 1935/2004 and (EU) No 10/2011.
The sound enclosure with its seal, the brushless motor and the mat under the jug keep the noise down to 63 dB(A) at 1 m, measured at top speed under load. Opening the enclosure stops the motor, and if you close it again within 30 seconds the cycle picks up where it left off. The motor is protected against overheating, overload and overvoltage.
On the counter or built in
Stand the blender on the bar counter or build it into the worktop with no extra parts. Built in, it stands 306 mm high, with the sound enclosure, jug and control panel above the worktop, so the bar looks tidy.
One person can lift and move the blender.

Installation and connections
- Power supply: single-phase 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz (it runs on either frequency); power input 1,010 W, maximum current 8 A. The plug goes into its own standard earthed socket (2 pole + earth) on a circuit protected by a residual current device (RCD) and a 16 A fuse, plugged in directly rather than through an extension lead or adapter.
- On the counter: a bar counter or worktop indoors, away from sources of heat, sloping by up to 10°, with all four feet resting on it. A working height of about 90 cm with the control panel facing you is the most comfortable.
- Built in: a 168 × 198 mm cut-out in the worktop; at least 135 mm of clearance below the worktop and 495 mm above it, at least 102 mm from the cut-out to the wall and at least 30 mm on each side. Leave 100 mm between the cut-outs of several blenders, and keep the plug within easy reach.
- Dimensions and weight: 200 × 247 × 441 mm, 8.3 kg.
Running and spare parts
You clean the jug with the blender itself: with 600 ml of warm water and two drops of washing-up liquid, a 30-second cleaning cycle rinses it out. Washed this way, the jug and lid last longer than in a dishwasher. The bearings are lubricated for life.
The jug comes apart completely, blades included, and wear parts — the bearing, the blades and electrical components — are replaceable. We sell the blade assembly (62110) separately. Part numbers for everything else are in the spare parts diagram on the ‘Technical Data Sheet’ tab.
What’s in the box
The blender comes with a jug, lid and blade assembly, the sound enclosure and the mat under the jug. You can order an additional jug with lid and blades (62100) with the blender in the ‘Blender accessories’ field.
