„Scale Clean Plus“ — acid descaling powder
Professional sulfamic acid descaler for aluminium, copper, brass and iron surfaces. 1 kg jar.
„Scale Clean Plus“ is an acid descaling powder made in Italy by „REPA“ that removes limescale from coffee machine parts, drinks dispenser circuits and other equipment with aluminium, copper, brass or iron surfaces. You circulate the solution through a circuit or soak parts in it.
The main active ingredient is sulfamic acid (60–80 %). The product is a white crystalline powder that dissolves in water.

Directions for use
Dosage. Make up a 5–20 % solution in water (50–200 g of powder per litre of solution); the heavier the scale, the stronger the solution.
- Dissolve the powder in water at 50–70 °C.
- Circulate the solution through the circuit or immerse the parts in it, and allow a contact time of 1–8 hours.
- Rinse the circuit or parts thoroughly with water afterwards.
If the powder has formed lumps, shake the jar well before use — lumps do not affect its performance.
Ice makers. Follow the ice maker manual for the solution strength and cleaning procedure. After descaling, rinse the system several times with clean water to remove all acid residue, and only then sanitise it with the product specified in the manual. Once the machine is back in service, discard the first few batches of ice.
Safe use
Warning: causes skin irritation and serious eye irritation (H315, H319); harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects (H412). Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye or face protection. If eye irritation persists, get medical advice or attention. Wash thoroughly with water after handling. Avoid release to the environment. Do not mix with chlorine-based products such as chlorine bleach — there is a risk of explosion on contact with chlorine — or with nitric acid, nitrates or nitrites. The powder absorbs moisture, so store it only in the original container, tightly closed, in a dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and incompatible materials.
