„Everpure“ QL3 — single-cartridge head with shut-off valve
A genuine „Pentair“ head for „Everpure“ filter cartridges, with a mounting bracket and 3/8″ NPT connections, for foodservice equipment, vending machines and office coffee machines.
The „Everpure“ QL3 (part number EV9259-14) is a commercial-grade filter head for a single cartridge. The head is plumbed into the water supply and mounted on a wall or another flat surface, and an „Everpure“ cartridge fits into it. At each filter change only the cartridge is replaced; the head stays in place.
The head has a built-in water shut-off valve with a lever, so the water can be turned off right at the filter. The hardware is corrosion resistant, and all wetted parts have passed NSF extraction tests as part of NSF-listed systems. A mounting bracket and screws are included.
Compatible cartridges
The head is designed to take „Everpure“ cartridges only (sold separately), such as the 4FC-S and 4CB5. Capacity and filtration performance depend on the cartridge used.
Connections
The inlet and outlet are vertical, with 3/8″ NPT female threads. NPT is the American tapered pipe thread and is not compatible with the BSP (G) threads used in the UK and Europe, so choose fittings and adapters with NPT threads. No electrical connection is required.
Installation
- Mount the head vertically, with the cartridge hanging down, on a flat surface that can support the weight of the whole system in operation.
- Leave at least 6.4 cm (2½″) of clearance below the cartridge for easy replacement.
- After fitting a new cartridge, flush the system for 5 minutes, running the water to drain.
Changing cartridges
„Pentair“ recommends changing cartridges every 6 months as part of scheduled maintenance, and in any case at least once a year. Change a cartridge sooner if its rated capacity is reached or if the flow or pressure drops.
Important: do not use the filter system with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
