Centrifugal juicer, up to 140 L/h

The „Santos“ #50 is a compact centrifugal juicer for apple, carrot, ginger, beetroot, cucumber and other fruit and vegetable juices. It produces up to 140 L of juice an hour and has an 800 W motor.

What it is for

The juicer makes fresh juice for drinks and sauces, as well as fruit or vegetable coulis. Before the 10 L pulp container is full, you juice roughly 12.5 kg of apples or 7.5 kg of carrots.

The duty cycle is 2 minutes on and 4 minutes off (EN 60335-2-64) — the time it takes to juice and then prepare and serve the drinks.

XL feed chute and auto-clean basket

Whole fruit and vegetables go straight into the wide XL feed chute (Ø 79.5 mm), and the pusher glides down with little effort.

You get more juice from your fruit and vegetables: the patented auto-clean basket ejects pulp efficiently, and its tall, wide shape filters the juice better. The rotating grater shreds the produce, centrifugal force spins the juice out through the holes in the basket, and a deflector on the bowl improves the juice flow.

The juice runs into a pressed stainless steel bowl and out through a spout 210 mm above the counter, straight into a glass, jar or blender jug, with a removable drip tray underneath. The asynchronous motor runs quietly at 65 dB(A), so you can juice in front of your customers.

Pulp container and quick dismantling

Pulp leaves through an outlet in the lid into a 10 L container behind the bowl, and the Ezy-fit™ centring pin lets you position the container easily and securely.

The Ezy-lock™ system locks the lid and bowl in a single movement: turning the locking handle 180° towards the front makes the locking rods clamp both parts to the motor unit. With the Ezy-clean™ system, the bowl, basket and lid come off tool-free and clean up quickly.

You start the juicer with the On button once the lid and bowl are locked; loosening the handle cuts the power, and a friction brake stops the basket in under 2 seconds. A thermal cut-out and overload protection look after the motor.

The #50 is our centrifugal juicer for large volumes: up to 140 L/h, the widest XL feed chute and a 10 L pulp container.

If you need a more powerful 1,300 W motor suited to intensive use, choose the „Santos“ #28; if you juice a few glasses at a time and want a compact machine, go for the „Bartscher“ Top Juicer.

Installation and connections

• Power supply: single-phase 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz (it runs on either frequency), 800 W. The plug goes into its own standard earthed socket (2 pole + earth) on a circuit protected by a residual current device (RCD) and a 16 A fuse.
• Location: a table or worktop indoors, away from sources of heat, sloping by up to 10°, with all four feet resting on it. It is most convenient with the spout facing you and the pulp container at the back; on a shallower table, turn it with the spout to the left so that the pulp container sits on the right. Working height — about 90 cm.
• Dimensions and weight: 290 × 530 × 515 mm, 15.1 kg — one person can move it.

Running and spare parts

The basket, bowl, deflector, lid, pulp container, pusher and bowl support are washed in water with washing-up liquid or in the dishwasher, and a non-abrasive brush clears the basket holes and grater teeth. The bearings are lubricated for life.

Wear parts are the grater and basket, plus electrical components: the start capacitor and the start and power relays. Spare parts are ordered by the manufacturer's part numbers: auto-clean basket — 50205, pusher — 50106, drip tray — 50956.
